We repurpose unused items to support the most disadvantaged communities.
Material assistance
- Donations made
- Donated items
- Beneficiary associations

The quality of the amenities aboard the Costa ships means these goods can be reused rather than discarded; with such resources, we can aid those in need or living in emergency situations.
Through the Material Assistance project, we provide tangible aid to many people experiencing hardship, promoting and implementing a targeted reuse of items, which has a social impact on the most disadvantaged communities.
This is a sustainable development model that fully accomplishes our dual vocation: to help people by meeting their material needs; and to help the environment by promoting recycling and minimising waste, in line with the principles of the circular economy.
All this commitment and care manifest as great teamwork, involving our departments aboard and ashore, our warehouses and business partners, turning them into a vast recycling and distribution network for all kinds of products that are used but in excellent condition or unused surplus, benefitting not-for-profit organisations, NGOs and voluntary associations in different parts of the world.
AREAS OF ACTIVITY

- New life for things, new value for people
Recycling and redistributing unused goods means reducing waste and turning them into tangible opportunities for those in need.
- Circular solidarity
A model that combines environmental sustainability and social inclusion by recirculating valuable resources within the most vulnerable communities.
- Every salvaged item is one less piece of scrap
Objects, furnishings and medical devices: every salvaged item turns from waste into a resource and protects the planet. Giving is an act of caring that combines environmental consciousness and social solidarity.
